To become a seller on Zeretail, you must meet our eligibility criteria and complete the registration process.
Eligibility Requirements
- Registered business entity (Private Limited, LLP, Partnership, or Proprietorship)
- Valid GSTIN and other business registration documents
- Bank account in the business name
- Physical business address and warehouse facilities
- Minimum 2 years of business operation (exceptions considered case-by-case)
Required Documents
Prepare these documents before starting your registration:
- Business PAN card
- GST registration certificate
- Canceled cheque or bank statement
- Address proof for business premises
- Owner/authorized signatory KYC documents
- Product catalog with images
Registration Process
- Complete the online application form with business details
- Upload required documents for verification
- Undergo quality checks and verification process (3-5 business days)
- Sign the vendor agreement
- Complete onboarding and training sessions
- Start listing your products
Product Listings
Create effective product listings that attract business buyers and drive sales.
Listing Requirements
- Accurate product titles with relevant keywords
- High-quality images (minimum 3 images per product, 1000x1000 pixels)
- Detailed product descriptions with specifications
- Clear pricing (including bulk discounts if applicable)
- Accurate stock levels and minimum order quantities
- Proper categorization of products
Prohibited Products
The following products are not allowed on Zeretail:
- Counterfeit or imitation products
- Expired or soon-to-expire goods
- Products that don't meet quality standards
- Illegal or restricted items
- Products that infringe intellectual property rights
Image Guidelines
- Use white or neutral background for main product image
- Show product from multiple angles
- Include images showing scale/size of product
- Show product packaging if applicable
- No watermarks, logos, or text on images
- Images must be in focus and well-lit
Pricing Policies
Set competitive prices while maintaining profitability and complying with platform policies.

- Prices should be competitive within your product category
- Clearly display any volume-based discounts
- Include all applicable taxes in your pricing
- Notify Zeretail at least 7 days before any price increases
- Honor all advertised prices and promotions
Commission Structure
Zeretail charges a commission on each sale, which varies by product category:
- Food & Beverages: 8-12%
- Cleaning Supplies: 10-14%
- Kitchen Equipment: 5-8%
- Packaging Materials: 12-15%
- Office Supplies: 10-12%
Detailed commission rates are provided in your vendor agreement.
Promotions and Discounts
- Participate in platform-wide sales events at least twice a year
- Offer exclusive deals for Zeretail buyers
- Ensure promotional pricing is sustainable for your business
- Clearly communicate terms and conditions for all promotions
Order Management
Efficiently manage orders to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain high performance metrics.
Order Processing
- Confirm orders within 4 hours of receipt
- Process orders for shipment within 24 hours of confirmation
- Update order status promptly in the vendor portal
- Notify buyers immediately of any delays or issues
- Maintain order accuracy rate of 99% or higher
Seller Performance Metrics
Maintain these metrics to become a top-rated seller:
- Order defect rate: < 1%
- Cancellation rate: < 2.5%
- Late shipment rate: < 4%
- Customer response time: < 12 hours
- Positive feedback rate: > 95%
Cancellation Policy
- Only cancel orders in exceptional circumstances
- Notify the buyer immediately with reason for cancellation
- Excessive cancellations may result in account suspension
- Compensate buyers for cancellations that cause inconvenience

- Offer next-day delivery for orders within your region
- Provide multiple shipping options where possible
- Clearly communicate shipping timelines to buyers
- Integrate with Zeretail's recommended logistics partners
- Provide tracking information for all shipments
Service Areas
Zeretail serves businesses across India. Sellers should specify their service areas clearly:
- Metro cities: Next-day delivery
- Tier 2 cities: 2-3 day delivery
- Tier 3 cities and beyond: 3-5 day delivery
- Remote areas: Special arrangements may be required
Payments & Settlements
Understand Zeretail's payment processes and ensure timely settlements.
Payment Terms
- Payments are processed every 7 days for delivered orders
- 30-day payment terms for enterprise customers (clearly marked)
- Payment settlements are made directly to your registered bank account

Deductions and Fees
- Platform commission deducted from each sale
- Payment gateway fees may apply for certain transactions
- Returns and refunds are deducted from settlements

Tax Compliance

- Resolve issues promptly and professionally

Serious violations may result in account suspension or termination:
- Selling counterfeit or fake products
- Repeated customer complaints about product quality
- Failure to comply with safety standards
- Misrepresentation of products or services

Maintain professional standards and ethical business practices on the Zeretail platform.
Professional Behavior
- Communicate professionally with buyers at all times
- Respect confidentiality of buyer information
- Avoid conflicts of interest
- Do not attempt to transact outside the Zeretail platform
- Report any suspicious activities to Zeretail

- Do not engage in fraudulent activities
- Respect intellectual property rights
- Do not manipulate reviews or ratings
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
Data Protection
Protect customer data and comply with privacy regulations:

- Report any data breaches to Zeretail immediately
